Lakishea Hawthorne:	My name is Lakishea Hawthorne but most people call me Kisha.
Line Dance Connection:	Where are you from and what city do you call home?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	I am from Detroit, MI and it’s still my home.
Line Dance Connection:	What do you do in your professional life? Any hobbies outside of dance?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	I am a Program Director at Washtenaw County Michigan Works. My hobbies outside of dance are Zumba, shopping, and traveling.
Line Dance Connection:	Are you affiliated with any group or groups?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	I’m not a member of any group, but I dance with and love to attend classes with the Motown Hustlers, TULC, and Xtraordinary Hustlers.
Line Dance Connection:	How long have you been dancing?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	I have been line dancing for 6 years.
Line Dance Connection:	How did you get involved in dancing?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	I was at my friend’s birthday party and  they taught me the "James Brown Hustle" I was like OMG!
Line Dance Connection:	What do you like most about line dancing?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	It gives me an outlet to express myself through dance and I get a chance to meet beautiful people along the way.
Line Dance Connection:	If you could change one thing about dancing, what would it be?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	I would just keep it fun and drama free.
Line Dance Connection:	Tell me one thing about yourself that the dance community would find surprising.
Lakishea Hawthorne:	It might surprise most people that I didn't really start dancing until I was 23 years, because was I very shy.
Line Dance Connection	Is there a funny dance story you'd like to share in 3 sentences or less?
Lakishea Hawthorne:	A few years ago, I was in Delaware for a line dance event and Curtis was telling people, “You have to watch the "Church Lady" dance”. LOL
