Line Dance Connection:	What's your name? Do you have any dance nicknames that you're known by?
Ray Boyd:	My name is Raymond Boyd Sr. and my nickname in the industry is Sensei.
Line Dance Connection:	Where are you from and what city do you call home?
Ray Boyd:	I am from North Philadelphia, and Philadelphia is my home.
Line Dance Connection:	What do you do in your professional life? Any hobbies outside of dance?
Ray Boyd:	Professionally, I’m a dance instructor. In addition to dancing, I enjoy playing tennis and chess.
Line Dance Connection:	So what do they call this dance craze in your home town? Line Dancing, Hustling, Sliding, Other?
Ray Boyd:	In my home town we call this dance craze “line dancing”.
Line Dance Connection:	Are you affiliated with any group or groups?
Ray Boyd:	The very first dance group I was affiliated with was the Dave Bush Dancers. In addition, I was with Tri State Elite Dancers and Carpet Baggers.
Line Dance Connection:	How long have you been dancing?
Ray Boyd:	I have been dancing all my life. My mother taught me how to tap when I was 2.
Line Dance Connection:	How did you get involved in dancing?
Ray Boyd:	I got involved with dancing when Dave Bush taught in his basement. I wasn’t really a student….I was always a dancer.
Line Dance Connection:	After you attended your very first class, how did you feel?
Ray Boyd:	After I attended my first class I felt special, confident and happy as hell.
Line Dance Connection:	How did you get into choreography?
Ray Boyd:	I used to do choreography for my singing group in the early 60's called Ethics Group.
Line Dance Connection:	Observation: He never told us he was a singer! LOL Back to the normal questions.
Line Dance Connection:	How many dances have you created and what was the very first dance you created?
Ray Boyd:	I have created over 50 dances and the first dance I created was Mister Quick.
Line Dance Connection:	Of all your dances which one would you say is your favorite?
Ray Boyd:	My favorite collab is Share My Life and my favorite solo dance is Kick That Shhhhhhhhhh.
Line Dance Connection:	In your own words, what makes dancing special?
Ray Boyd:	That’s simple…..what makes dancing special is the Freedom!
Line Dance Connection:	If you could change one thing about dancing, what would it be?
Ray Boyd:	I’d like to see more unification.
Line Dance Connection:	Tell me one thing about yourself that the dance community would find surprising.
Ray Boyd:	I can be a physical guy. I‘m very protective of the people I love. Just stay on my good side. LOL
