Saundra Richardson:

My name is Saundra Richardson.  I don’t have any nicknames.

Where are you from and what city do you call home?

Saundra Richardson:

I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens, NY.  I currently reside in Laurel, MD.

 

 

Line Dance Connection:

What do you do in your professional life? Any hobbies outside of dance?

Saundra Richardson:

I retired in December 2015 from the government and now work as a Line Dance Instructor.  

 

Outside of line dancing, I love to travel and read.

Are you affiliated with any group or groups?

Saundra Richardson:

Yes, I am the owner of Style & Rhythm Line Dancers.

How long have you been dancing?

Saundra Richardson:

 I started line dancing in April 2005.

 

 

Line Dance Connection:

How did you get involved in dancing?

Saundra Richardson:

I started line dancing in a 50 Plus Center at a Library.  I wasn't 50 but they let me dance with them.  The Instructor was Jessie from Jessie's Soul Line Dancers.

What do you like most about line dancing?

Saundra Richardson:    

I love to teach and dance, especially when different states get together.

 

 

Line Dance Connection:

If you could change one thing about dancing, what would it be?

Saundra Richardson:

I would change the prices of some of these events.

Tell me one thing about yourself that the dance community would find surprising.

Saundra Richardson:

I worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 26 years thus the reason one might think I am not overly friendly.  I really am a great person.  Ok...maybe that's more than one thing.

Saundra Richardson:

I can't think of one right now but trust me I do laugh at a lot of things I see.
